As a Christian, technology plays a significant role in my spirituality. I use online tools for daily Bible reading and prayer. As a tool, technology can enhance my spirituality, however, I am also an avid fan of taking time out to unplug and reflect. I feel most connected to God, not when I am sitting in front of a computer, but rather when I am out in my garden, or feasting my eyes on created beauty. It is easy for technology, especially in an online course, to rule my life. I am connected at all times with numerous gadgets. Finding balance is difficult, but it is what I strive to achieve. Joy
Lisa: Spirituality and Technology
I would not consider myself to be a religious person, but would consider myself a spiritual person. Yoga, three times a week is the way in which I connect with my spirituality - this makes online spirituality, for me, pretty awkward. I can say that technology does afford me the opportunity to expand my knowledge on spirituality and connect with other like-minded individuals. When i'm not in downward dog, you can find me reading, training for a 1/2 marathon and travelling all around the world. I hope you were able to take something from our presentation this week. -Lisa
Ryan: The Conscious Observer
I am in the thought that God has left tokens of his creation for us to find throughout time. Technology has allowed us to discover so much about this planet and the greater solar system/universe beyond it. Is it a fluke that we have used this technology to understand why we are even alive today based on Laws and our place in the Milky Way? Technology, and especially educational technology, moves us past (invoked) ignorance. Past technologies have allowed us to do what we do today. Present day technologies will allow us to create what will exist in the future. In doing so, hopefully we may come closer to God, as we understand how precious our existence really is. :0) Cheers, Ryan.
Keir: I'm still figuring it out
I am an optimistic agnostic. I don't know for sure whether there is an intelligent being controlling everything but I'm hopeful. I feel connected or enlightened during moments of solitude. They usually take place in scenic outdoor areas where I realize the insignificance of any problem or worry that may be plaguing me at the time. Some of these places include 1) The top of Table Mountain, Cape Town 2) 5000ft above ground during free fall. 3) The camp grounds at Jones Lake, BC. Technology has enabled me to capture those precious moments of enlightenment. Who knows what moment it will help me capture tomorrow?

Jean-François: Not too sure yet!
I am not a religious person at all, but I am spiritual I think. I believe there is something out there that is guiding us and make sure we are not doing too much bad. ;-) I do feel more spiritual when I am in touch with nature: Lakes , mountains, starry sky, camping breakfast (humm.). Technology will keep the memories forever in my spiritual path. Hope you captured something from your journey this week. Jean-François
Jackie: Spiritually Enlightened
I have a strong belief in God as my father, creator and keeper. Spiritual and supernatural happenings are the ultimate experiences in life. The connection is simply divine.
Technology is an awesome part of God's provision for human existence and enjoyment. Technology does not define spirituality nor does it seek to inform it. I believe technology helps to explain spirituality and provides moments of insight and foresight.
This course has taken me on a journey and I am enjoying the ride. -Jacqueline
